So you started a home based business…

WOW. YOU’RE EXCITED!!
All you can see are dollar signs flashing inside your brain
And you can think of hundreds of people you know personally that will all benefit from this product.
Ok maybe not hundreds. Maybe only a few dozen. But you’re excitement is making it seem like hundreds.
You start having visions of how many people are going to be ordering this “anti-aging youth serum” from your website online as you travel around world and sip on Pina Coladas poolside.
It’s like someone lifted a veil off your vision and you can see your dream as a clear as day.
“HOW COULD PEOPLE NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS BUSINESS MODEL?” YOU SAY TO YOURSELF. “THIS IS INCREDIBLE!”
EVERYTHING JUST MAKES SENSE.
SO YOU THROW YOUR HAT OVER THE WALL.
AND YOU GO ALL-IN WITH THE TOP BUSINESS PACKAGE.
YOU’RE SO EXCITED YOU CAN HARDLY SLEEP THAT NIGHT.
You call your sponsor the following day
They tell you to make a list of your friends and family, close business contacts and basically everyone you’ve known the name of since your second birthday, (including the mailman).
YOU FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER.
MAKING SURE NOT TO LEAVE OUT A SINGLE PERSON.
YOU MAKE THE CALLS AND INVITE THE PEOPLE OVER TO A MEETING AT YOUR HOUSE JUST LIKE YOUR SPONSOR HAS TOLD YOU.
According to your confirmations, there are 50 people coming!
OMG! You’re going to be rich.
“Do you even have enough samples and products for your launch,” you think?
What if you don’t have enough?
The day gets closer and closer to your launch date and you start getting butterflies.
It’s presentation day! OMG you’r excited. This is it!
IT’S 11 A.M. AND YOUR PHONE STARTS RINGING.
“SORRY, BUT I CAN’T MAKE THE MEETING TONIGHT,” THEY SAY.
THEN THERE ARE A FEW MORE AND A FEW MORE AND A FEW MORE.
“SOMETHING ELSE HAS COME UP. SORRY. CAN’T MAKE IT.”
You are 15 minutes away from your presentation and no one is there.
So you start calling the people one by one in a panic and they apologize that they can’t make it.
It’s now 7 pm and only 3 people have shown up.
But you want to give everyone a chance to show up (you know, with traffic and all) so you wait for 15 minutes. 30 minutes. 45 minutes. One hour. Looks like you’re going to have to start.
You start the meeting with 3 people.
You put in the DVD and press play and take your seat.
The DVD finishes and you bring in your powerhouse up-line for the infamous 3 way call.
2 people seem pretty interested and see the vision.
One lady is interested, but she doesn’t have any money, so she buys one bottle.
One lady gets some samples to take home to her husband.
And the other person accuses you of being involved with a Pyramid scheme, makes some snide comments on their way out and can’t believe that you would waste an hour of their night with such B.S. Not only that but they missed watching their favourite TV program, Storage Wars.
BY THE TIME THE NIGHT IS OVER, YOU ARE EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED.
NO ONE HAS ENROLLED.
YOU SOLD ONE BOTTLE OF YOUR ELIXIR.
AND YOU’RE STARING AT A MOUNTAIN OF PRODUCTS ON YOUR DINING ROOM TABLE.
PLUS THE STACKED UP BOXES IN YOUR SPARE BEDROOM.
Your fountain of youth product that you were OH SO EXCITED ABOUT, all of sudden seems like the most expensive sheeeeeeeot you’ve ever purchased your entire life.
What do you do now?
How the heck are you going to sell this stuff?
The next 6 weeks are like an emotional roller coaster.
Everyone you present the business opportunity tells you that you got suckered into a pyramid scheme, that your product is overpriced and they all basically tell you to go fly a kite.
Don’t get me wrong.
I KNOW TONS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE BUILT GREAT BUSINESSES WITH THEIR WARM MARKETS AND HOME PARTIES ALONE.
AND IF THAT STRATEGY IS WORKING FOR YOU, KEEP DOING IT.

But before I get into that, the first thing you need to do is…
Step 1 – Get an auto-responder.
An auto responder will allow you to capture and store people’s email addresses and preload a series of messages that they will get after they opt-in to your list.
That means that you don’t have to be at your computer 24/7. You can be at the beach, or out hiking or working out and your prospects will be getting correspondence from you as if you are sending personal emails to them. That’s automaton. Makes sense right? I mean who wants to work anyway, right? Isn’t it the ultimate goal to be ably do whatever you want and just have avalanches of income coming in ever day?
This gives you an opportunity to provide value and to start to establish a relationship with your prospects and also your team members.
I use both AWEBER and GET RESPONSE.
Step 2 – Get a custom lead capture page or system.
You need a lead capture page that has some type of an offer where people will submit their email address and opt-in to receive something of value. The information you provide not only has to have value, but it has to solve a problem, provide a solution, a marketing secret, a specific strategy, how-to’s etc, on a topic that your target market is interested in. the more enticing your offer is the more people will opt-in.
You can either buy a domain and hosting service and have a designer build you a page.
Or you can buy a prebuilt system that has lead capture pages in it that can be customized.
These are some prebuilt systems that I use to promote what I do. They are totally customizable and they help you to build your list of prospects super fast.

Remember that it has to have VALUE, VALUE and MORE VALUE.
What I do is give away a copy of my book called MLM Affiliate Magic valued at $197.
Using free strategies alone, I was able to build a list of over 10,000 qualified buyers.
I used Facebook, a blog, Youtube videos, Google Hangouts and press releases.
All strategies that anyone can do.
It’s important to know…
Most people feel that they have already found their “ticket to the promised land” before you even talk to them.
For the most part, the truth is that people really have zero interest in your company or products when you start pitching them.
What they really want is leadership, mentorship and someone that can help them make an income.
What they really need is to learn how to become a TOP MARKETER.
Instead, everyone is going around pitching their products, pitching their opportunity, pitching their features and benefits.
STOP IT! You are just turning people off and repelling your business.
These people sound so ridiculous.

“MY ORAC VALUE IS BETTER THAN YOUR ORAC VALUE”
“MY INGREDIENTS ARE BETTER THAN YOUR INGREDIENTS”
“MY LEADERS ARE MAKING MORE MONEY THAN YOUR LEADERS”
“MY MANAGEMENT TEAM HAS A BETTER TRACK RECORD THAN YOUR MANAGEMENT TEAM”
What they should really be doing is helping people; industry wide, and providing VALUE in the areas of mindset, leadership, lead generation and marketing skills.
It’s much better to be connecting with people.
Building relationships. And solving people’s problems.
Find out what is going on in people’s lives.
Help them solve their problems. What’s their problem? That’s your job to find out by ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.
Take some time to get to know a person, instead of looking at them like a lottery ticket and becoming like verbal diarrhea all over them. Ewwwww. Stinky.
By taking your focus off of pitching and putting it on providing VALUE and helping people solve their problems, you become the ATTRACTOR FACTOR and your phone start ringing off the hook with INCOMING CALLS.
The formula for creating a following and generating leads is simple.

IMPLEMENT THE STRATEGY
SHARE YOUR RESULTS
So here is an example.
Let’s say I am a full-time student working my business part-time. I learn a strategy to be able to generate 15 to 20 targeted leads a day using Facebook.
I then implement the strategy for say 4 or 5 days to collect some data to prove out the strategy and show that it actually works.
Maybe I even make a graph or a power point talking about how I had a specific problem, found the solution, and I applied it and generated results.
I can then do a screen share video or a Google Hangout showing exactly what I did and how I did it. I then create a lead capture page with one of the systems I have listed above.
