Do you ever wake up some days…
When the stars just seem to be aligned in your favor?
You know….those days where you just have to pinch yourself?
It happens for all of us at some point in our lives. Doesn’t it?
I know it’s happened for you.
Whether it’s the day you had your first child.
Or the day you got married.
Or the day you got a promotion at work.
Or the day when you fell in love and the other person said “I love you too” for the very first time.
Well here is what happened for me…
My son Drayson comes to Vancouver from San Diego for 6 weeks every year during the summer.
For parts of the holiday, he goes to sports camps in the day – which he really enjoys. Then in the evenings, we get a chance to hang-out and do father and son stuff. It’s by far my favorite time of year.
This year he came in town on July 2nd, so he could be part of my birthday celebration on July 3rd.
I just turned 51. Hard to believe really. I sure don’t feel like I’m 51 – that’s for sure.
Seems like just a short time ago that I remember him coming into this world.
But that was already 15 1/2 years ago!
Time sure flies. Doesn’t it?
Happy Birthday Day To Me….
This year my parents gave me 2 tickets to the Lion King Broadway Musical and I must say, it was one of the most incredible entertainment events I’ve ever been to. It’s marketed as the World’s #1 Musical. And after seeing it, I would have to agree.
The costumes were amazing and the set designs were completely NEXT LEVEL.
It was one of those days of my life that will be imprinted in my mind forever.
And it wasn’t just the fact that I got to spend time with my son.
It wasn’t just the fact that the event itself was spectacular!
If you want to find out what it was….
Then read on.
First of all. I had never actually seen the movie The Lion King before, but Drayson said he had seen it more than 20 times.
So I picked him up after his Sports Camp at 4 pm.
We came back to the house to get showered up and ready…and we headed off to enjoy our evening escapade.
I love doing outings like this. They are always so memorable.
We decided to go to one of our favorite Sushi places and grab a bite to eat before the event. This place down the street from my house has some of the best Sushi. It’s so fresh and they make it so fast.
Then it was off to the Queen Elizabeth Theater.
We got there about 45 minutes early to avoid any line-ups and to make sure we could find parking downtown.
Perfect timing. No line-up. Yaaaaay!
OMG. It’s a full house. Not even one extra seat in the whole place.
Can you see Drayson and I in ROW 18?
Ooooops. I guess we were outside of the picture. lol.
Once the show started…
I knew we were in for something BIG…
And I mean REALLY BIG!
WOW! The costumes and set design…
They were completely out of this World!
Detailed makeup for the characters created a very animated look and feel.
It was incredible how these masks would come down in front of the face and then with the flick of the neck they would retract back on some type of a spring mechanism. So innovative!
Here’s what’s REALLY COOL!
While I was hanging out with my son having quality time. While we were enjoying Sushi and an evening at the Lion King Musical. While we were enjoying one of the best nights of our lives…My online business generated over $2700 in additional cash-flow in a single day. Whaaaat? YES!
Pretty sweet right?
But what’s even better is that it was completely automated income that happened WITHOUT ME. Plus I did it without having to harass my friends and family. I did it without having to do a single 3-way phone call or invite people over to my home.
